1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user's browser and store on the user's device (computer, mobile or tablet). They allow the site to remember information about the visit, such as preferred language or login state, and are widely used to make pages work properly, more efficiently and to provide information to the site owner.
The term "cookies" in this policy also includes other similar local storage technologies in the browser (such as localStorage and sessionStorage), which are subject to the same legal rules under the Implementing Regulation of the LQPD approved by Decree 391/2022 of 14 September.
2. Types of cookies by purpose
According to APDA guidelines, aligned with the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) recommendations, cookies can be classified in several ways. The two most legally relevant are:
By the entity managing them
- First-party cookies: sent to the user's browser from a server or domain managed by the publisher.
- Third-party cookies: sent to the user's browser from a server or domain not managed by the publisher.
By their purpose
- Strictly necessary cookies: enable navigation and use of the site's features. Exempt from consent.
- Preferences or personalisation cookies: remember information so the user accesses the service with differentiated features (language, theme, etc.).
- Analytics or measurement cookies: allow the controller to track and analyse user behaviour.
- Behavioural advertising cookies: store information about behaviour to display targeted advertising.
3. Cookies used on this site
This website only uses strictly necessary cookies and storage technologies, plus a technical user-preference setting. We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

This technology is exempt from the consent requirement as it is a technical user-preference cookie, in line with the APDA's interpretive criteria, EDPB Guidelines 03/2022 on deceptive design patterns, and EDPB cookie guidance.
4. Third-party services
For the proper operation of the website we use the following external services. These services do not install cookies on the user's device, but they may receive technical information (such as IP address) when the browser makes requests to their servers:

International transfers to the United States are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, in accordance with Chapter V of Law 29/2021. Note that the Principality of Andorra has an EU adequacy decision, facilitating data flows with EEA countries.

5. How to manage cookies

6. Consequences of disabling cookies
As only technical cookies are used, disabling them will not prevent navigation on the site, but the system may not remember your visual theme preference between sessions, requiring you to select it again on each visit.
7. Policy updates
IZUUK reserves the right to amend this Cookie Policy in line with legislative or regulatory requirements, or to adapt it to instructions issued by the Andorran Data Protection Agency (APDA) or the European Data Protection Board (EDPB). If the site adds analytics, advertising or any cookies that require consent in the future, a prior consent mechanism will be implemented and this policy updated accordingly.
